9 Months Pregnancy

* BABY GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Your baby is getting ready for the outside world every other day. His/her lungs are still developing. Your baby is most probably assumed the breech position.

* CHANGES IN THE MOTHER

If you still didn’t go on maternity leave, it is time to do that now :) Your baby bump is huge now. Sleepless nights are exhausting you, aren’t they? But, not much left until you can hold your baby in your arms, try to be happy with this thought :)

In this period you need to be aware of your pain. Consult to your doctor about the types and frequency of pain. They will inform you in detail. Not every pain is labor pain. As you are closing to the labor, you will have pain every once in a while. Try not to climb stairs and walk too long distances. Try not to exhaust yourself as much as possible.

If you have regular contractions (1 labor pain in 5 minutes), if the baby’s movements are reduced, if you have hemorrhage and if the pain insists, you must consult your doctor. We may explain regular contractions, as follows: If you are experiencing 1 convulsion every 5 minutes and it goes on for almost 1 minute, then this is called regular contraction. Your belly is stiffened and it takes around 1 minutes until it eases. You have most probably experienced such contractions and you have observed that your belly softens when you rest. But if it doesn’t soften even when you rest, then it may well be a labor pain.
